So far i have owned 3 different kinds of bluetooth headsets, i must say the battery life of this headset is unbelievable. Myself i used mind for 5 nights and 5days straight before i had to recharge the headset . I like the fact that when you charge it a red light will come on and when its done charging it turns off automatically. Really this is a great feature because that way you will not damage the headset if you forget to unplug it . Really of all the headsets i have owned i put this one at the top and yes I would recommend this headset to any one . I will not explain to you why you should void some headsets but I can say i got 2 other kinds of headsets that i am not happy with . i did notice with this headset the range is alot future than from the other ones i got ,the quality for material and sound are perfect . when battery is low it will tell you twice before it actually turns itself off . don't be afraid to get ahold of the saler for any reason they will get back with you to see what the issue is with your headset . keep in mind i did read all reviews on this headset before i bought it and you will notice there was 5 stars marked on everything . you hardly ever see all stars checked off on any one item . this just goes to show you what kind of headset you are getting !! I give 5 stars on every thing this headset has to offer !!
Since COVID-19 lockdown started I've been using these headphones for conference calls and music/NC to mask background noise (i.e. kids) and they work perfect for my needs. The noise cancelling is not as good as some from Sony, Sennheiser, or Bose, but you're not paying Sony, Sennheiser or Bose prices. However, the NC is good enough that I can use Roku private listening with the NC and sit in the same room as my kids while she is doing an online tap dance class and not be disturbed or distracted. In fact I was able to fall asleep while she was dancing. As for sound quality, music sounds good with a decent bass and highs that aren't too tinny sounding. When using the mic on a conference call I've been told my sound quality is good and clear without any obvious distortion. The BT paired easily with my Android device and I never have a problem with them connecting, in fact these connect faster than any other BT device I've connected to my phone. My biggest gripe is the controls on the headset are a little lacking... There is no way to mute a call from the headphones, you need to use your phone. I don't think (at least I haven't found it yet) there is a way to answer a call from the headphones, you will again need to use your phone. The volume controls and fwd and rev selection are the same buttons, you just need short or long presses to choose which action. At this price point you will be hard pressed to find a better pair. I'd order them again if I needed another pair.Pros-Price-NC works well-Good call quality-Better than average sound quality-Battery lasts a couple of days depending on usageCons-Can't mute mic from headphones when connected to Blue Tooth-Can feel a little heavy after prolonged use-Controls on the headphones themselves are a little lacking
The COWIN E7 headphones turned out to be much better than expected. They are very stylish and have excellent sound quality. Very often wireless bluetooth headphone devices experience sound loss, choppy reception, and rapid energy drainage when in prolonged use. These headphones, so far since using them, have defeated all those negative qualities. The noise cancellation feature is quite good. They cancel out low volume external noise, but when it comes to very high decibel noise those sounds can get through and interfere with headphone sound. However, even with high decibel external noise the ear cuffs do a great job at muffling external noise so you can enjoy what you are listening to; they also are soft and comfortable. The sound quality is great as well in that for wireless headphones the output is not tinny or high pitched but clean with a robust depth that rivals wired headphones and the types of headphones professional DJs use win spinning in noisy houses. And the bass quality is not eardrum shattering like so many headphone devices but has a wide depth that does not overpower the other sounds and instruments in a music piece. And they come with a nice carry pouch. And if you register the product you can benefit from the manufacturer's extended warranty which, if needed, is a good deal if the device becomes defective during the warranty period. The motto on the box is COWIN Headphones on. World off. This is true in that they do help muffle the outside noise while cupping the inside tunes. A really nice device.
I purchased these for two reasons, to get away from some really expensive yet tethered headphones (think Senheiser and Grado) which sound awesome - and to try a pair of bluetooth headphones for quality. The second reason is to allow me to complete some studying even with a tv and a two year old non stop boy running amok. They work!! While it didn't make the two year old settle down it sure as frog feathers shut out the sound completely. Audio is really good quality, the bass surprised me - it's quite good. These are brand new tonight so I've not had time to pick out an appropriate musical piece quite yet to hear if I can differentiate between musical instruments in an orchestral setting. All that stuffiness aside they are super comfortable, seem on the outside to be very good quality, sound quality seems at the outset to be excellent, If other reviews are correct battery life is supposed to be exceptional. I did purchase as a set the hard case with them. Nice case and they fit snugly but will be protected. I think these to be worthy, if anything changes I'll update the review. Not sure you would go wrong with this purchase. One minor detractor, the hard case (About $13) and worthy of having a good case - some goof a loof put an identification sticker on the outside of the case. While most of it peeled off some remained as well as the adhesive. Goo Gone took care of that little debauchery and the case looks great. Worthy of the case as well.**Additional Review** After watching/listening to some series that I like I could always hear the background, of course purposely put there, with the many speakers. With these it's kind of crazy, the sound is still there, emanating from two speakers it is still there, they cast it outwards where your peripheral hearing picks it up. Another worthy point!******Last revision***** What a great headset! I am very impressed overall. I've used these for many hours now and have yet to have them bug me to be recharged - that's since initial charge and I've been using these!! Again, great sound quality and per my perview what a well built substantial headset. These are just plain solid. Of course I don't have the luxury of time to report on them five years from now, but my initial observations if it matters are that this is a really good quality headset with substantial quality, build, sound and equally as important - wow! Battery life!! I would buy these again in a heartbeat at roughly $70 bucks. Way worthy in my opinion.********UPDATE*********I finally had to charge this headset tonight. It has been exactly 35 days since I received it and it took it's first full charge. Granted I haven't utilized it every day but I've put some hours on this battery. The fact that it took over a full month to need a recharge is absolutely fantastic. If I had to estimate the hours of battery usage I believe it would be well over thirty of actual usage and a fair bit of standby. The more I use this headset the better I like it. Again, granted it's not an expensive set of Grado's or Senheiser or some other higher end studio professional headset but it's simply not too bad. Good sound quality, it will work as a transmitter to talk on the phone but as you might imagine the sound quality on the listener's side is just............bleck. Not what this was really intended to do. Five stars for what I use it for............very worthy!!
Edited review-Giving them 5 stars after a 2/3 star review. They replaced the defective headset and the new one works 100%. I love this headset. It connects fast and is easy to use. This review below was when I received a defective headset.I use them maybe for 3-4 hours a day. So far I have been able to use them maybe 5 times. Everytime I have to charge them in between. Often I can't connect to blue tooth and have to use my bose speaker which is ammoying, since I go these to use while I sew. So here again today, they won't connect to blue tooth and I am charging them again. The've been on charge for 5 min and the charge light has gone off. So why eon't they connect to blue tooth. Some days it takes 5 minutes before they connect. It's really annoying. I do want to love them, but wonder if I have a bad pair? Any suggestions?
I'm not a frequent headphone buyer, for many reasons, and I'm very picky about sound quality....Let me just say, 20 minutes after testing these headphones right out of the box, I'm already writing a biased review. They were nearly fully charged straight out the package, neatly and thoughtfully packaged with a letter of thanks from the developer, and they have to be one of the most simplistic and welcoming headphone designs I've ever witnessed. They come with a quick step guide and an owners guide, but I didn't need either to figure out what to do in order to get it working. My first sound test was a rap song, and I could feel every single beat. I'm a huge bass guy, so you know I had to test it's might. I went to a subwoofer bass test on YouTube, and I was dumbfounded at the intensity of the bass drops and the crispy clear sounds and clicks. It left me in a minor state of euphoria... just magnificent. Now, this is coming from someone who's never bought anything over 500 dollars. These headphones exceeded my expectations in nearly every way.If I had to come up with a con, it'd be my fault, my head and ears are probably above average size. Even so, it still fit snug on my head and my ears were in heaven.I would say the only step up from these is Bose, and I can say that because my friend spent 300 bucks on one and these were nearly there in quality of sound.Anyways, I've never been this excited to have headphones. COWIN knows sound.
